Meet The Team
Lotus
Health and Wellness Center
Lotus first opened its doors in 2005 as Lotus of Light. Karen Duffy, founder of Lotus of Light had a vision of having a place for healing, relaxation and community. Lotus of Light opened in a modest 1 treatment room space on historic route 66 in the city of Glendora. Lotus of Light offered Massage and Reiki services, and had a small boutique selling fair trade and organic items such as candles, incense and essential oils. Lotus of Light was often found at the Glendora and San Dimas Farmers Market.
In 2009 Lotus of Light expand to the space adjacent and was able to offer multiple services at a time as well as yoga, belly dancing, hoop classes and Doula workshops. Also in 2009, Dr. Doty joined the Lotus of Light team. His acupuncture treatments were well received and Karen and Dr. Doty quickly realized they had out grown the little space on 66.
Dr. Doty, Karen and Lotus of Light moved to a larger location just east of Lone Hill. After bringing on an esthetician and 2 more massage therapists to the team, they found themselves in the same predicament of not enough space to accommodate the list of growing services and clients.
In March of 2015 Lotus of Light found its new home in the Pacific Plaza and new name.

Dr. Doty and Karen Duffy shared the same vision and officially became partners in the business in February of 2015.
In July of 2015 Lotus Health, Wellness and Movement Center expanded to the adjacent space which is now their Movement Center.
Lotus Health, Wellness and Movement Center offers a wide range of services:

Acupuncture, Massage Servies, Organic Skin Care, Reiki, Hypnotherapy, Cupping , Far Infrared Sauna , Spray Tanning , Teeth Whitening, Body Scrubs, Yoga, Dance classes, Palates and Thai Chi Just to name a few.
Lotus Health, Wellness and Movement Center are active members of the Glendora Chamber of Commerce and donate regularly to the Glendora Education Foundation, local school fundraisers, and other non profit organizations. Many of their classes can be found in the Glendora Community Service Department Activity Guide.
